The Rhetorical Situation

People experience situations he or she has no idea how to handle on occasion. There’s no demonstration of how to “correctly” behave or react (or not react) or feel until you actually get to the minute where it’s happening … and then it’s over. The future tense becomes the present tense, and finally resides in the past.

Someone I once cared about very much is getting married on Saturday. After years of no contact, they decided to tell me this yesterday. Why? Because they’re an asshole.

There are two categories of negative people: people who hurt you because they have made a mistake, and people who are simply bad, awful, disgusting selfish douchebags masquerading as humans.

What I have learned is that the latter group never change. And they never will. And they don’t want to. Till their last dying breath, they will spew forth, perpetuate and radiate douchebaggery. They will spawn douchebag children and the cycle continues.

Do not try to understand these people, explain these people, excuse these people; caveat these people. They are assholes through and through.

If you delete their number, block, unfriend and unfollow on every social media account known to man, it doesn’t matter. They will find you to hunt you down and suck whatever last bit of light you have left in your eyes.

Do not meet them in secret. Do not meet them in public. This will never, ever work out. Your life is not a romantic comedy; it is reality.

Revert back to a place in time before you knew them and you never knew of the depths people can and will go to make themselves feel better about their pathetic lives.

I tell you this from a place of regret. Regret that I wasted so much time on someone so miserable. Time and thought that I can never get back.

There are no returns in life. There are only final sales.
