Why MTV is Dumb. Still. (Such As.)
The show ran about 10 minutes past schedule due to its last performance, with newly blond Nelly Furtado’s “Do It” shifting into Timbaland’s “The Way I Are,” Timberlake’s “Lovestoned” and a few seconds of Timbaland’s “Give It to Me.”
Um…I saw this online, ripped from Canadian TV. I watched the show, live, and it ended, on time, with a hotel room shot and cut straight to the post-show. You lie! Or are Canadian, or both.
…MTV had insisted it was breaking from tradition by not rebroadcasting the VMAs, but a repeat airing came on immediately following the live show. The VMAs will also be available in a variety of “remixed” incarnations on MTV.com.
Probably because they realized Britney’s disastrous opening was worth sticking around for (again) and they’re a bunch of sellouts.
Also, remix THIS! There is no such thing on your site. But, the phantom Nelly/Timbo/Timbalake performance is accounted for, as well as the in-full edits of the hotel performances everyone loved* so much.
*Wondered WTF they were watching.
