She Blinded Me With Science!
Mariah Carey’s had some awfully benign album titles in the past (Daydream, Butterfly, Music Box, Rainbow, Charmbracelet, et al.), but at least they weren’t confusing.
E=MC2 is the title of her 2008 forthcoming CD. This is annoying for two reasons, maybe three:
1. You’re making me stop to do subscript “2,” if I remember how to even do that.
…² . There.
Cause, I think that means something different. Like, just times the number two instead of multiplying it times itself.
2. It’s, like, math and sciency. Except yours is Emancipation equals Mariah Carey squared, and makes no sense.
Einstein’s was Energy equals Mass times the Speed of Light, which makes no sense to me, but I’m sure makes sense to lab geeks, so how can your last album, Emancipation, be equivalent to yourself, to the second power? Doesn’t that mean that this album blows then? Shouldn’t it be something like K + P = E² ?
(Kittens & Puppies = Emancipation Squared?)
In conclusion, WHAT?
